Social Homeostasis
In the presentation below, Visualising Peace student Ideja Bajra explores synergies between the study of cell biology and peacebuilding. She proposes a theoretical model – social homeostasis – which connects both fields, inviting us to apply our understanding of symbiotic relations in the natural world and biological ‘feedback loops’ to improve socio-political approaches to conflict prevention and post-conflict transformation. Below the video, you can find a list of the publications she draws on in her research. These are also available in our Visualising Peace Library.
