This article echoes a larger scholarly debate about The Copenhagen School – also known as the securitization theory. See this bibliographic resource: Wæver (1995). To some extent, it defends and improves the theory to include a decolonial and feminist perception of security, threats, and marginalised voices. It offers an alternative to the general understanding of security being confined to states in IR.
